It all started when…
A group of residents got together and thought, “huh, we have a lot of old buildings in our area that need some help.”
With towns and local historical societies that felt tapped, there was need for a new group that could focus on rehabilitating and restoring the area’s historic buildings. We didn’t want to save these buildings to use as museums, or as lawn ornaments, but to think carefully at the very beginning about how they could be used to generate income, serve the community, and incubate small business.
